Artist's Comments: Oregon grapes are a berry that grows wild here on Vancouver Island. When the berries are not yet ripe they are a really neat turquoise-green-purple colour. Together with the glossy holly-like leaves that can have red or yellow in them at any time of year it makes a colourful image.
